Keep Holmfirth Special has recently joined the Campaign to Protect Rural England.
The CPRE has run many successful initiatives; one of the most recent is creating a local food map. See the link to their web site for details:

The Tesco Extra at Harlescott was always controversial and earlier this year admitted it had
allocated more space to comparison goods than permitted by its planning permission
(convenience goods are mostly food; comparison goods are ones you might shop around for,
clothes, fridges, etc.). At stake here are the livelihoods of people who run small retail
